Subject: [Tweeters] Virginia Rail and Chicks at Juanita Bay

Tuesday morning's bird walk at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland was a real
treat, mostly because of the Virginia rail practically parading her four
chicks around, near the end of the (most western) boardwalk. I returned that
evening to get some photos of the family. I had just decided to give up and
go home after a half hour's search (not to mention the herd of
tricycle-riding, crying toddlers) when a little "peep" caught my attention
and out they came -- this time just one chick with his mother. By that time
the light was very, very low, but I did manage to get some shots.
