I participated in a Weed Warrior volunteer event at the Grays Harbor NWR in Hoquiam yesterday afternoon. Although, our main focus was on learning plants we couldn't help to notice the resurgence of shorebirds on the refuge. We were walking out as the tide was dropping so I'm sure we missed other species. Here's the numbers:
