Hi Linda

If they were just barely touching down and swooping up they were probably drinking. It is all that uncommon to see them doing this.

Hello,
Today I watched from a distance of perhaps 10 feet, as a flock of VG Swallows did repeated touch-n-go landings on the water at Wallace Swamp Creek Park (Kenmore). Can some one explain this behavior? Were they bathing? feeding? or playing?
