Today (Tuesday, July 24), I obtained a good and
sustained look at a juvenile goshawk at the Ridgefield
National Wildlife refuge in Ridgefield. The bird was
high up in the Oregon Ash grove behind the entrance to
the Kiwa trail. He/she had a strip of red meat in
its possession about 6 inches long.
