Today was out checking some bluebird boxes here at McChord Air Force Base. We have one box that has 3 warm eggs in it. I'll be checking it again on Friday to see how big a clutch is laid this late in the year. Saw the following birds without much looking.


Red-breasted nuthatch

American kestrel (a pair)

American robin

American crow

Red-tailed hawk

Tree swallows

Downy woodpecker

Western bluebirds

Brown creeper



Also saw many dragonflies and a western tiger swallowtail.
