Rich and I went up to Alder lake yesterday to check out the water level, it is very low, the same as it is in the winter. And from the boat launch we watched 5 Osprey flying and calling just across the lake. Looked like some parents with fledglings.

This morning I put out a few bing cherries on the deck for the birds and was surprised that a Swanson's Thrush was helping it self to the over ripe fruit. He or she has been on the deck all day tearing into the cherries. The closest they usually come to me is the water dish.
