This afternoon in the heat of the day (2:45 pm) there was a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD using power poles and shrub in the Corfu area. The bird was first seen immediately south of where Lower Crab Creek Road and Corfu Road (Road B SE) meet. I saw it (or possibly another mockingbird) on the north side of the road heading toward the greasewood patch and Crab Creek.

Also 12 species of shorebirds at the County Line Ponds along Highway 26, including at least 6 Semipalmated Sandpipers.
