Along our road this morning, we saw 2 adult Mountain
Quail with 7 young. Anyone know the average number of
young they usually have? It was amusing to see one of
the adults run into the brush with the youngsters,
while the other, I'm assuming the male, stood there,
all stiff and important, making sure we weren't going
to come any closer, ha ha.
