If you are interested in casual sightings of Turkey Vultures, I saw two separate one's on a boat trip to the San Juans on May 22, 2007:

The most suspicious one, as far as nesting goes, was flying (not soaring) along the bluff on the north side of Speiden Island. As I was watcjing it from the boat, it suudenly turned into the base of the trunks of trees at the top of the cliff, and seemed to land.

The other sighting was one soaring over the Friday Harbor Marina, but it rapidly drifted down wind.

Both birds had red heads.
