Greetings Tweeters,
My wife and I camped at Wenas Creek CG this past weekend. All the regular
species were present. White-headed Woodpecker was probably the most
difficult to find and it took a while to find the only one of the trip, a
female. The Least Flycatcher was present, calling actively early in the
morning at Hardy Canyon. Flamulated and Great Horned, and Common Poorwill
were actively calling in the campground area. On Sunday morning a Red-eyed
Vireo was just upstream from Wenas Lake. All and all a nice time to be on
the eastside.
Cheers and good birding... Bill S.
