Just to give one example of impacts of cats..farm or feral on wildlife. i purchased 7 acres years ago north of monroe. hardwood forest with a few mixed large conifers. planted with sitka spruce, dogwood, cedar etc to bring back to natural conditions. our back porch had many flying squirrels, ruffed grouse etc. within 5 years they disappeared completely, and i had live trapped multiple cats out of the forest from neighbors farms. Cats have an incredibly heavy impact on birds.... william boehm

It's the 21st century, no longer can house pets be allowed to
run free. They should be cared for like children.
