I have just entered a decade-and-a-half's worth of records into AviSys, and
it went quite fast thanks to the program's use of band codes. I picked
AviSys because I only wanted to endure the learning curve once, and it
didn't seem I or especially my wife could possibly outgrow it. Besides, I
enjoy opinionated people and programs, and Jerry Blinn has such in spades.
Also, many of his examples are from the Pacific Northwest (although I can't
remember exactly where, he lived up here for years). I don't have any
experience with other listing programs, though, and am by no means an
experienced birder.
