I went to visit the Lazuli Buntings at the Kent Ponds, yesterday at about 4:30 pm. I, too, walked west along the paved trail along the powerlines. A rail squall forced me to wait it out in the south observation tower. When it stopped I found three singing Lazuli Bunting males, and I think more. It is a very impressive show!

I haven't had any luck with the Chat as of yet. When the sun came back out after the squall I tried to spot it, without success.

Other highlights were Yellow Warblers at the Riverview Marsh, and some baby American Coots seen from the South Tower.
