Birding out along the Olympic coast continues to be excellent.

Last Thursday there was a pair of Western Bluebirds 0.6 miles down La Push
Road from Highway 101 in a clearcut. I stopped by briefly today but didn't
see them.

On Tuesday there was a HORNED PUFFIN between Point of Arches and Cape Alava,
pretty close to shore. Pictures should be online before long. Also in the
same general area were 48 Ancient Murrelets, 20 Marbled Murrelets, 3
Cassin's Auklets and about 50 Tufted Puffins. In the afternoon looking off
Shi Shi Beach the first birds I saw were another 8 Ancient Murrelets.

On Wednesday there were over 600 Cassin's Auklets around Cape Flattery -
mostly around and to the east of Tatoosh Island.

Yesterday there was a pair of Ancient Murrelets with a chick near Tatoosh.
Also a Pink-footed Shearwater and more than 300 Cassin's Auklets.
