I had discovered a nest that had partially fallen on an ocean spray about 7 feet high on the hidden trail, discovery park. the nest was about 20 feet and east of the restroom. a single egg lay on the pavement...light blue with pale, brown-maroon spotting. nest was about 3 inches across woven grass, with moss and lichens on the outside, and about 2.5 inches deep. Not sure what it was...too big for yellow warbler? i am wondering what vandalized the nest? it was next to the trail so im hoping it wasnt a person.
