Consider joining the YardBirdRace! Prizes include subs to the superb WASHINGTON BIRDER quarterly, year-long membership in important bird conservation organizations such as the AMERICAN BIRD CONSERVANCY, BIRDLIFE INTERNATIONAL or your local Audubon Society and hopefully, Violet-green Swallow boxes.

Don?t worry if you have a low total number of birds?this can be a sign that you are a good birder just as having a high total can be a sign you are a good birder. To acknowledge that paradox, Everyone gets a prize in the YardBirdRace!

Many cities, neighborhoods and towns have no YardBirdRacers at the moment: this is a chance to get in on the ground floor of the record books!

To join, email yardbirdrace at yahoo.com with the number of birds you?ve seen in or FROM your yard since Jan 1 2007.
