Hi Tweets,

The theme for my wife's and my trip to Juanita Bay Park this morning seemed
to be "fledglings". Young birds of many different species were busy trying
out their wings for the first time. We were especially excited to see many
young Purple Martins that had recently left the nest. One adult and two
young came (just barely) within range of my camera. A photo of them can be
found in the "Passerines II" gallery on my website here:
http://www.goatislandimages.com/photogalleries.htm.

Here's the rundown of species from this morning:

Red-winged Blackbird (adults, nestlings and fledglings)

European Starling

American Robin

Tree Swallow (adults, nestlings and fledglings)

Barn Swallow (adults, nestlings and fledglings)
