Yes it's very likely some pairs are already on eggs at Jack Block.
I've been checking nests here in the north Sound past few weeks,
egg laying at English Boom on the north end of Camano is well
underway, six nests there have eggs as of yesterday morning, the
earliest clutch was initiated June 8, so if all goes well some young
there will be out of the nest later in July. Regarding fewer pairs
at T105, last year was a poor year for reproduction in the north
Sound, with far fewer young surviving to banding age compared to
previous years, about a third of what it was between 1999 and 2005,
and there were some reports of low reproduction from elsewhere to the
south in WA, so, it's likely there could be a reduction in total
pairs statewide this year.
