Tweets,
A quick 2-hr check of 4 areas on the E & NE outskirts of Tenino produced 66
species Friday morning. Most species seem particularly vocal and active
(more than two/three weeks ago), perhaps due to the cool weather and babies
(Bob Sundstrom's suggestion). I knew it was going to be a good morning when
my first sighting was a Vaux's Swift. Highlights:
- 4 vireos
- 7 warblers
- great looks at several tanagers
- V Rail pair with noisy chicks
- Very young, curious, and awkward Marsh Wrens clambering through the
grasses at point-blank range
- first-of-season Olive-sided Flyctr
Good birding!
