Hi Tweeters,

Approximately 50% of the Great Blue Herons have
fledged.

The Bullock's Oriole eggs have hatched so you can find
the nest by the trips of the parents to the top of the
heron cottonwood, best viewing from the top of the
little hill by the pond. The nest is at the tip of
the first vertical branch from the trunk. As usual
they have adorned it with blue ribbon.

One Wood Duckling has survived with mom nowhere in
sight. They were quiet for ducklings and I think this
has helped this one to live so long.

The Northern Pintail drake was back on the main pond
and is molting so I presume it will summer over.
