Hello All,

This morning at 11:48 AM while looking over a large riparian buffer area
along the Touchet River north of the Luckenbill Bridge on private /closed
lands I came across a calling adult Yellow-billed Cuckoo. This bird was
moving south towards the Luckenbill bridge over the Touchet River. This was
an unexpected species and only the third record we are aware of in Wall
aWalla County. Please do not trespass in this area should you come in search
of this bird. It may look like no one is around, but that just is not the
case. This site is in central Walla Walla Co. and can be accsessed via the
North Touchet River Rd. north out of Touchet or south off SR 124. Or Sudbury
Rd. west of Walla Walla off HWY 12. The best site to watch and listen is
from the Luckenbill Bridge over the Touchet River.
