Just so there's no confusion- the bird reported to me was at OCEAN
PARK which is on the Long Beach Penisula and OCEAN SHORES is at...
well... Oceans Shores. These are probably two different corpses.
And the person reporting seemed very sure that the Ocean Park bird
was not large.

Hi all...I got a call on the 25th from a friend who said she had a very
large dead bird near the jetty in Ocean Shores. That is my area for the
COASST (dead bird) survey, so I drove out there and found that it was a
Laysan Albatross.
I took several photos (to send to COASST), so if anyone wants to see them
I'll share them.

COASST has a guide we use with measurements, plumage variations, etc. to
help us I.D. our finds...the measurements were pretty conclusive, as well as
the plumage.
