Well I "only" ended up seeing 27 species of waterfowl today (how often do
you get to say that?), but these included 78 male Eurasian Wigeon and a
hybrid, all but four of which were along Chuckanut Drive on the Samish
Flats. Tree Swallows were at Lake Terrell and Tennant Lake, and meadowlarks
were singing throughout the day. I have a couple pictures of the Whooper
Swan from this morning online:
