Subject: [Tweeters] Say's Phoebe and Cinnamon Teal at Montlake Fill

9.30 this morning, a Say's Phoebe was moving around the southwest
section, flitting between bramble sprigs, low bushes and the round wire
things next to the Central Pond. I was reluctant to call it at first,
having never seen one, so I grabbed a couple more people with bins and
scopes and we all had a good look and agreed that was the bird. Lousy
pic, at extreme range, but this is it:

A pair of cinnamon teal were in the inlet pond next to the Husky Stadium
a little later.

Spring is definitely here!

On a more query-ful note, has anyone ever come across a female
red-winged blackbird with a reddish wash to the face? Another dodgy pic,
but that tinge around the bill base and in front of the eye isn't
artefact. Odd-looking bird - full of surprises this morning, the Fill!
