Subject: [Tweeters] Snowy Owl near Edison

Yesterday, Mar. 4, about 3:30 p.m. our group saw a Snowy Owl sitting
on the crossbar of a fence in the middle of a field east of the
Farm-to-Market Rd., between Bayview-Edison and D'Arcy Rd.
intersections. It was really white, though had some lower barring.

I was very surprised, because I had just put my glasses on the white
lump for the heck of it, expecting it to be a Clorox bottle or other
distraction. I guess it pays to check everything out.

Earlier interesting sightings for us were Western Meadowlarks at the
West 90, a Peregrine at the Bow Hill-Chuckanut intersection, and a
shrike (too far away to ID which) at North Fork. These were among
the usual hawk/swan/snow goose sightings.

We kept a count of Bald Eagles starting from Port Townsend and ended
up with 90. Another fun day on the Flats.
