Tweets,

The Whooper Swan was not located at its most recent location in the field at Ulrick and Ferndale Roads today. I arrived at 3 pm and spoke with 2 birders who had been searching all day. They had talked with another birder who was there at 7:30 am and wasn't able to locate the swan. However, the flock of about 200 Trumpeters, 16 Tundras, 1 blue-banded Trumpeter and 1 Mute Swan that the Whooper has been associated with were present in the field. A service truck from the local cable company was working on Ulrick Road with a cherry picker. The birders told me this caused the swans to move to the center of the field making viewing a bit more difficult. I wasn't able to locate any other flocks in the area.
