Hi, Louise.

Just a response to your question about female redwings with reddish
faces. That's fairly common in redwings, actually, with much
variation. Some are shockingly reddish on the face and throat.
Probably these are the ones that are also likely to have quite
reddish epaulets, of course nothing like as bright as those of males.
