Just adding a couple birds to the previous report about Vance Creek County Park. On Pond #1 (eastern most), this afternoon I had 10 Common Mergansers, about 5 Scaup (didn't keep track of the numbers of each, but both Lesser and Greater were present), 2 Redhead, 2 Pied-billed Grebe, and one Ruddy Duck. Pond #2 (west of the restrooms) still has the Western Grebe on it.

The swans were more scattered out by the highway in the afternoon so I didn't get a chance for a good look. I did note 3 Greater White-fronted Geese in a flock of Canadas near the hunting blind before (heading west) the western bridge on Wenzel Slough Rd..

I still haven't seen an Osprey yet. The last week of March is the usual arrival time for the residents around Elma.
