Thanks to everyone who's responded to my question about ravens in South Seattle. At least one raven was present in Seward around 4 this afternoon. There were two other people there who have more experience with ravens than I do. The consensus is definitely yes.

The bird has been seen/heard in the south third of the forest. Today it was quite vocal, which made it fairly easy to track. We watched from a side trail as the bird flew overhead a number of times and landed on a maple snag to preen. After preening for a couple of minutes it flew off. We could hear it continuing to call as we walked back to the parking lot. There may have been an answering call, but we saw only one individual. We met another person who had been watching the same bird from a different vantage point. He also thought he'd heard a second bird.
