Last nite coming home from the ferry a little before 7 pm I saw a dozen of
them flying east, low to the water, in a nice V-ish formation, as if their
long tails were on fire!

25 long-tailed ducks right now 430pm right in front of my house (if i can
see them from my yard i put 'em on my yard list - and at least i dont have
to mow the strait of georgia!!!

i love long-tailed ducks like the bread loves the wine loves the cheese

also saw a few days ago approx 500 snow geese on that old northbound trip -
at dusk before that last heavy rain
