I was asked to post a couple of notes. First, there was an error on the website that indicated the Sunday morning Potholes/Desert Wildlife Area/Beezley Hills field trip was full. There are several spaces on this birding expedition. Second, my wife coordinates the children's crafts and activities at the Festival and is seeking volunteers to work 10-1 or 1-4 shifts. No experience necessary helping children make crafts, and free admission to the Festival. Please contact her at this e-mail adress by March 21.

Today I glassed the loafing goose flock at noon at the County Line Ponds (SR 26 10 miles west of Othello.) These seem to be part of the flock feeding at Corfu and included 1 SNOW GOOSE and 3 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE in addition to about 7000 Cackling and Canada Geese.
