The wife and I took a walk out some logging roads in southern Mason county near Panhandle Lake today. This spot is a traditional site for Western Bluebirds and we found at least 3 flying around the area. It appeared there was some nest cavity seeking competition going on between some of the bluebirds and a Northern Flicker. Interesting behavior that I haven't ever witnessed.

Also, in the swan field at the western end of Wenzel Slough Rd., this late afternoon I was able to pick out the "Bewick's" Swan. Also, in the same area in the flooded fields there are at least 2 Eurasian Wigeon amidst the various ducks there.

Lastly, the pair of Redheads continue on the eastern most pond (Pond #1) at Vance Creek county park here in Elma.
