The Red-shouldered Hawk continues at the Green River
Natural Area in Kent, also known as Kent Ponds.
Yesterday the ponds team of the monthly census saw the
hawk in the same general area it has been seen this
winter near the King County Animal Shelter. Also of
interest was a Common Yellowthroat, 10 Western
Meadowlark, some singing, many Violet-green Swallows,
some Tree Swallows and one Barn Swallow. Two adult
Northern Shrikes were also seen.
