Tweeters,
Cold and blustery, but mostly sunny, day here on the Duwamish, but I
wanted to check out the new bins -- walked the trail very briefly along
the river opposite Hamm Creek. Looking over there, spotted about 200
Violet-green Swallows (first of the season). A pair of Canada geese with
five goslings seemed particularly early, esp. since the goslings
appeared to be about 2 weeks old.

Birds seen include the following:
Canada Goose (7, incl. 5 goslings)
Mallard (2)
Gadwall (2)
Common Merganser (3)
Double-crested Cormorant (21)
Red-tailed Hawk
Glaucous-winged Gull (40)
Rock Pigeon (4)
American Crow (8)
Violet-green Swallow (200+)
Black-capped Chickadee (2)
Bewick's Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
American Robin (2)
Song Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow (3)
House Finch (2)

17 spp.

May all your birds be identified,
