So, I hallucinated that there was a photo of last year's LBBG without black on the bill. Nonetheless, this bird has far more black on the bill than that seen in photos from last spring, which seems odd for a maturing bird, but in gulls, I suspect nothing is impossible.

At least one European has commented on how large this bird's bill seems. It looks a tad large in all pics, but huge in one pic on Denny's website.

I've asked for outside opinions. The first has come back LBBG.
