Subject: [Tweeters] Say's Phoebe and Clark's Grebes at Discovery Park

Hi Tweeters,

This afternoon, a (the?) Say?s Phoebe was flycatching from a few small
bushes in the southeast corner of the South Meadow at Discovery Park. It
was there from about 2:00 to 2:15, and still there when I passed by 2 hours
later. Hard to say if this is the same individual that was hanging around
last weekend, but it certainly could be.

An hour of watching for seabirds from the lighthouse yielded only a few
Rhinoceros Auklets and one flyby Brandt?s Cormorant. The flock of Western
Grebes was close to shore, and I was able to pick out two Clark?s Grebes.
Also saw my first Rufous Hummingbird of the spring!

Good birding,

Matt Dufort
