Howdy Tweeters, I get a kick out of this list! LOL, no more be said than
that.
Anyway short note fr the Backwoods Cook Ranch. No more had I mentioned to
you last post I was waiting for my green swallows, well next am, guess what
showed up in all kinds of aerial displays and dive bombs as I stood on the
deck surrounded by these lovely glittering flock of green swallows! so now
they be fighting over next boxes, some will take to the barn rafters, some
in the nooks under the roof eaves and aggressive & older I assume machos
will get the bird house. Guess we need to built more, they sure do like
those houses! My best friend of 30+ yrs her dau makes them for me in her HS
wood class. She made me a bluebird house but painted it red, :o), hopefully
it works thou for my lone little bluebird I spotted. Looks like hes been
enjoying the mealy worms thou. Was thinking however I really should make a
feeder for some live ones instead of the dead worms. Anyone feed bluebirds
on here? More mallards here now on the pond and some Pin tail but they don't
hang out too long and not sure where they go from here. They are lovely and
interesting to watch.
Mama hawk cruised by with her young kit checking out the cook ranch critter
situation, esp my free range wabbits. Up real high soaring on a nice breeze.
They live in a huge grove of very tall pines on my neighbours back 40. I've
walked back there and she sees me coming from quite a distance and starts
making the most awful racket then will fly opposite of the nest as if to
thwart me off where they live, LOL, like I don't know anyway. Pretty funny.
