Belatedly wished to pass along that, back on March 23, biologists working at
Graysmarsh near Sequim found a bird that, after some consultation, we
determined to be a female MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD. It was at the horse corral
about 1/4 mile south of the southern end of the public beach access. The
Graysmarsh beach access seems to get more than its share of Mt. Bluebirds in
late March-early April, and among the several reports over the years is an
old Stan Smith entry for a flock of 12 one late March morning, back in 1988.
