Hello, Thought I'd drop a note to say I've put a few of the pictures I
snapped the other day of the Brady Loop (that's got a nice ring to it)
Barnacle Geese. They were probably a quarter mile away and the extemely
obnoxious wind made digiscoping more than difficult. They can be found at:

I did find it interesting that of all the geese there during my observation,
these two were the only ones I saw repeatedly drinking. Patrick also noted
this in his post from the next day.
Though obviously they must be assumed escaped/released/origin unknown, it
was a treat to see them none-the-less.
In recent years, more birds on the east coast have been considered valid
vagrants and a bird banded in Scotland as a juvenile in 2004 was shot a year
later near Hawkesbury in eastern Ontario. As well, one of two Barnacle Geese
shot at Ladle Cove, Newfoundland in the fall of 1981 was banded in July 1977
at Spitsbergen, Norway.
