Hello Tweeters!
Yesterday march 29, I was on of the four "young folks," on the Marymoor park
trip. As Brian Bell explained we saw the Sage Sparrow at about 10:45 - 11:00
hoping its way around the large gravel pile from about 50 feet away, then
disappearing into the brambles. This left me desperately wanting to see it
again. So about two hours later after eating lunch my friends and I returned
to the gravel pile (after a good round of begging) and waited for the
sparrow for about ten minutes, at that point I called me friends over to
look at a flock of sparrows i had spotted in between the dirt piles and the
black berries. After a few minutes of looking we spotted the Sage Sparrow
fly to a high point on the black berries, and then later fly to the
very hill we were standing on! The Sage Sparrow is a very beautiful bird and
it was definitely worth seeing it again. If you are interested in seeing it,
I'm guessing that it will stay in that general area, but when looking wait
for it keep quite and still and you will probably see the bird on one of the
dirt and gravel piles.

Thanks Brian Bell for leading a great trip!
