I put all those lengthy messages about the Barred Owl in a folder for later reading (?). But my knee-jerk reaction to the problem is:

The Barred Owl seems to be the logging industry's best friend! With the disappearance of the Northern Spotted Owl from our remaining old growth forests, there seems to be no reason to stop resumption of logging.
