Hi, Tweets

We went up to Snoqualmie Falls yesterday - a beautiful day - to see
the peregrines. The falcon was brooding the two eyasses, but we
didn't see the tiercel. Didn't see her leave the nest, but all of a
sudden there was a swoop and cackling below us (we were on the
viewing gazebo) and she zoomed by, did a couple of loops around and
then sat in a tree some distance away. The chicks were moving around
a little. No one came in to feed them and the falcon was back in a
few minutes. No marauding turkey vultures were seen!

Interestingly enough, we had Red Tail Venison Chili for lunch at the
small upstairs lounge. When I asked about the name, supposedly the
deer was a Red Tail. I was assured no hawk meat was included :-)

Had a singing black-throated gray warbler in the yard yesterday.

Cheers, Diann
