Hey tweets, Bottle Beach was really hopping on the incoming tide
yesterday afternoon. We saw:
3 RED KNOTS
1 LOOONNG-BILLED CURLEW (sticking his schnozzola all the way into the
mud and twisting his head sideways as he kept walking forward)
3 WHIMBREL
3 RUDDY TURNSTONES (making do by turning seaweed instead of stones on
this sandy beach)

Also on view: numerous Orange-crowned Warblers (this was true
throughout Grays Harbor area - hundreds of 'em)
good numbers of Short-billed Dowitchers, Westerns, Semipalmated
Plovers, etc.

In Westport:
1 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER (in the freshwater pond at the first surfer
overlook turnout on the way to the beach)
3 MARBLED GODWITS on the beach
1 WHIMBREL on the beach
3 BROWN PELICANS perched at the marina
9 BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS at Twin Harbors SP

The EURASIAN COLLARED DOVES are still at Brady Loop - we found two
perched on the telephone pole in the nw corner, as previously reported.
