On Sunday, May 6, after erecting a couple of Purple Martin
colonies on the Steigerwald Lake NWR at the mouth of the Columbia Gorge
National Scenic Area Randy Fortish and I found a GRAY FLYCATCHER there.
This is only the second record of this species in Clark County that I am
aware of, the other sighting was also from the refuge.
Also present were a pair of territorial REDHEADS and a WESTERN
KINGBIRD and the continuing MUTE SWAN.
