Thank you for your courteous reply, and I am equally sure that a WEGU x YFGU
might not come north and hybridize with anyone else. Yet I find the
Yellow-footed Gull in not only the new Sibley, but in Grant (1985) and Harrison
(1986).

Why does Sibley still describe the Yellow-footed as a distinct species if it
isn't? That's what causes my confusion.
