I am posting for a woman in Vancouver, WA whose very young African
red-bellied parrot escaped and flew into the Salmon Creek greenbelt area
near Vancouver yesterday. She could still hear him calling today at
about 1 pm (Monday) and is currently out searching for him, but
apparently the area in which he flew is not easily accessible. The
Poicephalus parrots are not as loud as parrots of Central and South
America, but if anyone is birding in the area, please keep your ears and
eyes open for Rocco. Thanks.
