Subject: [Tweeters] Roosting site of Vaux's swifts in Olympia

Hello all,

Yesterday saw about 40 Vaux's Swifts entering a chimney in a residential area in Olympia (on 18th Avenue). On Saturday there were reportedly 400-500 using the same chimney. Not sure if anyone is keeping track of such roosting sites?

Does anyone know whether Pine Siskins might be fledging young already? In the flock that uses our yard we've had a couple extremely tame birds around with very fresh looking plumage.

Thanks
Robin
