Sounds like the look and call of a Virginia Rail.....They have two calls
they regularly make 1) "oink, oink" 2) clicking short notes (I think this
is a territorial or breeding call). In my fieldwork with Virgina and
Black Rails, I have found them to make a variety of other unique calls,
some of which I believe remain to be described in the literature.
