Today there was an AMERICAN AVOCET in a pond along M Street in Auburn, King County. The bird was there as late as 3:30PM today.

To get to this location, travel south from Renton on Hwy 167. Pass thru Kent. Pass the 277th St exit. Take the 15th Street Exit and turn left (east) over Hwy 167. Take the 2nd left, which is M Street. Travel on M Street until you see a large pond in a field on the right, with Emerald Downs in the background. The bird was in this pond. If you were to continue on M Street, you would soon arrive at the bridge where a BLACK PHOEBE has been observed the last 2 years.

Also in this pond were a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, 3 MINIMA CACKLING GEESE, and a few LEAST SANDPIPERS.
