Yesterday at the Maulsby mudflats in Everett (just south of the mouth of the snohomish ) I was checking on the purple martin nest boxes and saw lots of martin activity there- at least 3 females and 6 or more males. Loud calls off in the distance turned out to be 4 Whimbrels, the first I've seen this far south on the sound. Many Ospreys as usual, and in nearby Legion Park a nice Solitary Vireo.

Happy Trails
Jeff Gibson , Everett.
